“I’m getting big but not old” (Big – the musical)

Saturday, February 28th, 2009

Sometimes it’s hard for me to believe that a week has gone by, and the child you had last week is gone, and a new older child with a bunch of new talents has taken thier place. This last week has been one of them. Evan is saying things he has never said before, climbing on things he has never climbed before, and entertaining himself in whole new ways!

Not quite sure what he is doing in this picture, but I thought it was pretty cute, and demonstrates that the concept and word “mine” has taken hold pretty strong!

"Mine! Mine! Mine! Mine!" (Pocohantos)

Last weekend we went to the playground in Golden Gate park with our gay dad’s group. We had a great time, and didn’t take many pictures, but got this great one of Evan climbing the rope ladder. He was able to do by himself for the first time!

"If you keep your goal in site, you can climb to any height" (Assasins)

This might be a sign that his dad’s are on computers too often. Evan mastered the art of opening up a laptop that is laying around and turning it on months ago. Now that he is able to climb up on the stools at the counter in the kitchen, he has found a new favorite toy – the computer in the kitchen!

"Take a letter. To Mr John Hudson. Hudson Floorwax" (Thouroughly Modern Millie)

  1. I can’t believe Evan is climbing on everything like that – awesome!! I can’t wait to see them sometime soon. 🙂

  2. Hey guys,

I love the pics. By the way, I posted a photo of Evan on the group’s website as did JR and Bill. In fact, they captured a really good one of David and Evan.
