“Darkness stirs and wakes imagination …” (Phantom of the Opera)

Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009

Saturday night in Fair Play turned out to be a great evening. Our friends from a couple of house’s down came over for dinner and some playtime.  Ethaniel and Aiden are a little bit older (3 and 5), but all 4 of the kids seemed to have a great time. We played inside for bit, but ate outside just as it was starting to get dark. As dinner ended, the kids got down and played around while parents relaxed with another glass of wine. Eventually Ethaniel and Aiden pulled out the empty  swimming pool, and made it into their “space ship”. The kids got popsicles, and all four of them sat in the boat and pretended to go wherever it was they they went, and pretended to be whatever it was they were pretending to be.  Evan and Sophie loved the whole thing  -  being part of a big kid game, eating popsicles, and staying up later then normal!

  1. They are so cute! If we could only hang on to that active faith in imagination when we become adults.
